News Release: Shocking Findings On How INEC Tainted & Sectionalized Nigeria’s National Register Of Voters (Part Three)


This is the continuation of our facts boggling public statement on Tainted & Sectional Midwifery of the Nigeria’s National Register of Voters by the Independent National Electoral Commission of Nigeria headed by Prof Attahiru Jega.  The first and second parts were published on 15th and 16th February 2015.

Summary Of Part Two:
1. No. of Post-AFIS Registered Voters in 2014 (old)=70, 383, 427
2. No. of Registered Voters readied for 2015 Polls (new)=68, 833, 476(recalculated figure by Intersociety=68, 817, 157)
3. No. of Post-AFIS Registered Voters in 2014(old) for the North including the FCT=40, 531, 606
4. No. of Post-AFIS Registered Voters in 2014(old) for the South=29, 858, 822
5. No. of Registered Voters readied for 2015 Polls (new) for the North including the FCT=37, 377, 169
6. No. of Registered Voters readied for 2015 Polls (new) for the South=31, 539, 941
7. This shows that the North (37, 377, 169) surpasses the South (31, 539, 941) with 5, 837, 228 registered voters.
8.  No. of Registered Voters summarily deleted by INEC in November/December 2014 in Nigeria=3, 796, 767
9. No. of Registered Voters summarily deleted by INEC in November/December 2014 in the North=3, 725, 201
10.No. of Registered Voters summarily deleted by INEC in  the same period in the South (Oyo State)=71, 566
11 No. of newly  Registered Voters captured in the North in 2014=372, 789

State-by-State & Geopolitical Breakdown Of Updated PVCs Distribution In Nigeria:
15. No. of Registered Voters okayed for 2015 Polls in Nigeria=68, 833, 476 (real figure re-calculated by Intersociety=68, 817, 157)
16. Total PVCs distributed across the country as at 4th February 2015=45, 098, 876 (recalculated figure by Intersociety=44, 867, 411)
17. No. of Registered Voters okayed to vote in 2015 Polls who have not received PVCs as of date=24, 019, 746

Northwest Zone (Muslim/opposition stronghold):
18. No. of PVCs distributed as at 4th February 2015=13, 461, 183
19. No. of Registered Voters okayed to vote in 2015 Polls in the Northwest=17, 620, 472
20. No. of registered non indigenous  voters (mostly Igbo) who fled Northwest owing to insecurity abandoning their PVCs=3m (est.)
21. No. of Registered Voters denied their PVCs in Northwest including fled and fleeing non indigenes=4, 159, 289

Northeast Zone (war stricken/Muslim & opposition stronghold):
22. No. of Registered Voters okayed to vote in 2015 Polls=9, 107, 861
23. No. of PVCs distributed (allocated) as at 4th February 2015=6, 917, 389
24. No. of Registered Voters denied PVCs including an estimated 1m non indigenes of Igbo extraction who died or fled Maiduguri, Mubi, Yola, etc owing to Islamist Boko Haram insurgency=2, 190, 472

North-central Zone (balanced area for Muslims/Christians):
25. No. of Registered Voters okayed to vote in 2015 Polls=9, 767, 411
26. No. of PVCs distributed as at 4th February 2015=6, 023, 367
27. No. of Registered Voters denied PVCs= 3, 744, 044

Southwest Zone (Southerners/Christian stronghold):
28. No. of Registered Voters okayed for 2015 Polls=13, 814, 735
29. No. of PVCs distributed as at 4th February 2015=6, 457, 029
30. No. of Registered Voters denied PVCs=7, 357, 706

South-south Zone:
31.No. of Registered Voters okayed to vote in 2015 Polls=10, 059, 347
32. No. of PVCs distributed as at 4th February 2015=6, 822, 416

Southeast Zone:
34. No. of Registered Voters okayed to vote in 2015 Polls=7, 665, 859

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT):
37. No. of Registered Voters okayed to vote in 2015 Polls=881, 472
38. No. of PVCs distributed as at 4th February 2015=464, 769
39. No. of Registered Voters denied PVCs=416, 703

Grand Summary:
40. No. of PVCs distributed in the North including the FCT as at 4th February 2015= 26, 866, 708
41. No. of PVCs distributed in the South as at the referenced date=18, 000, 703
42. This shows that the North surpasses the South in updated PVCs distribution with  to the tune of 8, 866, 005
43. No. of Registered Voters denied PVCs in the North (FCT inclusive) including estimated five million non indigenes dominated by Igbo citizens who fled as a result of insecurity=10, 510, 508.
44. No. of non indigenous Registered Voters denied PVCs in the North=5,000,000 (est)
45. No. of Registered Voters denied PVCs in the South=13, 539, 238.
46.The total PVCs distributed in the Northwest and the Northeast zones comprising 13 States, which is 20, 378, 572 is much higher than the total PVCs distributed in the entire South comprising 17 States, which is 18,000, 703.
47.The total number of PVCs distributed in six Northwest States of Kano, Kaduna, Katsina, Jigawa, Sokoto and Kebbi, which is 12, 415, 428; is much higher than the PVCs distributed in the entire 13 States of the South-south and the Southeast, which is 11, 543, 676.
48.The number of PVCs distributed (allocated) in the Northeast, which is 6, 917, 389; out of its total registered voters of 9, 107, 861; is higher than that of the Southwest, which is 6, 457, 029, out of its total registered voters of 13, 814, 735.
49.Shockingly too, Borno State, which is torn apart by Islamist Boko Haram insurgency, has more PVCS (1, 320, 667) than the non insurgency State of Anambra (1, 222, 002).
