News Release: Imo State House Speaker Signs MOU With Guateng, South Africa Counterpart


In a bid to bring consolidated development to the state through legislative proactiveness, the Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly Rt. Hon (Dr) Benjamin Uwajumogu has signed a memorandum of understanding with the South African Government through the speaker of Guateng province, the Rt.  Hon (Mrs.) Lindiwe Maseko in South Africa.

The MOU is a reconfirmation of mutual commitment on the implementation of close cooperation between Guateng province legislature and the Imo State House of Assembly.

Rt. Hon Dr Uwajamugu after signing the memorandum of understanding pledged that the Imo State House of Assembly would fulfill its part of the agreement.

Hon Lindiwe Maseko in response promised that the Guateng province would live up to expectation.

The highlight of the South African visit by Speaker Uwajamogu and his entourage was a Radio interview programme at WITS Radio Academy and at RADIO 2000 South Africa.
