Report: Mo Ibrahim African Youth Report 2012

Africa is the only continent with a significantly growing youth population. In less than three generations, 41% of the world’s youth will be African. By 2035, Africa’s labour force will be larger than China’s.

How do we ensure that Africa benefits from this imminent demographic dividend? How do we ensure that African youth will compete at the global level not only due to sheer numbers? What is the future that we are creating for our most precious resource?

  1. Mo Ibrahim asked us Africans to sing the song of praise for our heroes who are doing a great job in the continent of Africa, and sing less of the heroes that are corrupt,HO! HA! I agreed with him,HO! HA!We can't even name one or two people doing a good job in making Africa move forward, but we can name hundreds of bad, corrupt leaders in a second.
Let us change our behavior by looking at the good side not the bad side like any other progressive nations are doing.
